Are you ready for a natural disaster

With the frequent natural disaster that have happened around the world lately– are you and your family ready for the next natural disaster in your area.  It is always good to be prepared; below is a list of the essentials that the governor’s office of emergency services recommends. Plan to have at least enough supplies for 72 hours


Water — 1 gallon per person per day (a week’s supply of water is preferable) 

First aid kit, freshly stocked


Can opener (non-electric)

Blankets or sleeping bags

Portable radio, flashlight and spare batteries

Essential medications

Extra pair of house and car keys

Food, water and restraint (leash or carrier) for pets

Cash and change

Baby supplies: formula, bottle, pacifier, soap
